Protesters block streets west of Mexico City

The streets of the district of Alvaro Obregón in Mexico City are being blocked by neighbors protesting the construction of an interurban train route in the area and were confronted by grenadiers trying to prevent the blockade.

During the struggle with the grenadiers, the protesters say that their spokesperson was arrested.

The protesters have no provided the name of the supposedly arrested person.

The head of Social Protection of Mexico City, Hiram de Almeida, expressed that no neighbors were injured during the confrontation.
