After the arrest of the main suspect of the serial knife attacks in several neighborhoods in the municipality of Chimalhuacan, leaving two killed and five more injured, Mayor Sergio Díaz Espinoza expressed his confidence that peace will return to the area.
The Mayor expressed at a press conference that the arrest of the 20-year-old woman identified only as Nayeli, the supposed "Slayer," will help to "end the unrest among the population and allow them to return to their regular activities as soon as possible".
Espinoza added that the surviving victims of the attack were unable to identify the woman from photographs and said that they have to meet face-to-face to confirm if she was their aggressor.
