A federal district judge ordered the release of four soldiers for lack of evidence regarding their involvement in the massacre of 22 people in Tlatlaya, State of Mexico, on June 30, 2014.
The judge also ordered on Friday the formal prison of three other officers for homicide, according to sources.
The seven soldiers are currently in prison to face charges under the military justice system, but the four released according the civil system could obtain the right to bail for a provisional release.
