The Government of Mexico City will increase the security in the border areas of the metropolitan area after the discovery of the body of a young man hanging from a bridge in the district of Iztapalapa.
Mayor Miguel Ángel Mancera expressed that no impunity will be allowed in the case and that the Department of Public Security is already checking the video recordings from the security cameras in the area.
"I am insisting in having checking points in the border areas. I believe that Mexico City has many areas where we need to further intensify our efforts," he stressed.
Although he avoided commenting on the possibilities of the young man's death being an action of an organized crime group, he expressed that the Attorney General of Mexico City will report any progress in the investigations to media.
The body of a young man in his twenties was found in the border between Mexico City and the State of Mexico, with two gunshot wounds to the head.
