Former governor Fernando Moreno Peña was discharged from the Regional University Hospital (HRU) and convalesces at his residence from the wounds he suffered last Monday after being shot.
In a statement from the state government, it was explained that the same day Moreno Peña was attacked he was subjected to a surgical procedure in order to repair the six wounds in his neck, chest, and arms.
"The day after he was kept in intensive therapy to monitor his recovery and he was transferred to a hospital, where his neurological, metabolic and hemodynamic state was stable and without evidence of bleeding or complications," expressed the release.
The document added that during the third and fourth day he presented a favorable evolution and it was decided to release him at 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
