Mexico City Attorney General's Office (PGJDF) determined that rat poison killed more than a dozen dogs in Roma-Condesa neighborhoods in late September and early October.
An investigation revealed that the poison could have been placed near markets and restaurants to fight a plague of rats, and did not seem aimed at killing dogs.
The dogs died two hours after eating the poison on their way to México and España parks.
