Tropical storm Linda evolved into a category one hurricane in the Saffir-Simpson scale, and it's moving over the Mexican Pacific coasts, according to the National Water Commission (Conagua).
“#Linda now as a category one #hurricane in the Saffir-Simpson scale,” reported the agency on its Twitter account, @conagua_climaIt indicated that the phenomenon is some 217 miles south of Isla Socorro, Colima; 419 miles south-west of Playa Perula, Jalisco; and some 470 south of de Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.
In the evening, the National Weather Service reported that Linda will cause strong rains in Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, and Michoacán, with winds over 31 miles per hour, and recommended sailors to extreme precautions.
