The coach of Pumas UNAM, Guillermo Vázquez, expressed his support for keeping Brazilian Ricardo Ferretti as permanent head of the Mexican national team.
Ferretti was appointed acting coach of 'El Tri' for next friendly games and the important duel of October 10 against the U.S. team in the fight for the ticket to the Confederations Cup Russia 2017.
"'Tuca' is one of the coaches with more continuity in Mexican soccer teams and that speaks a lot of what could be a long-term with the national team," expressed 'Memo' at a press conference.
Guillermo Vázquez, who used to be the assistant coach for Ferretti in Pumas, is very aware of the capabilities of 'Tuca' and considers him the best possible choice for the Mexican Soccer Federation.
"It is a well-thought out decision. This is the best thing for Mexico," expressed 'Memo'.
