Under the escort of police cars, several trucks carrying 49 kids and 14 agricultural workers departed to states south of the country, after they were rescued from exploitation last Wednesday in two farms of the "El Higo" ranch of the municipality of Ramos Arizpe.
After receiving settlements by the "Prokarne" company, proprietor of the ranch and whose owner is under arrest, the 63 children, teens and adults returned to their communities, 36 to Veracruz, 24 to Hidalfo and three to Tamaulipas.
The Government of Coahuila reported that the identity of the children was carefully checked before they were taken to the buses. A total of 307 farmers were rescued and 78 of them are minors.
Also, the names of all the returned children were sent to their state governments, as well as those of the adults who agreed to be returned.
