The Mexican national soccer team under-22 reacted after a bad first half and they defeated Trinidad and Tobago by a score of 4-2, making into the semifinals of the Pan-American Games in Toronto.
In a duel at the Tim Hortons Field stadium, Jorge Espericueta scored 59 minutes into the game, in compensation of the penal shot he failed on the 23, while Daniel Álvarez (68), Marco Bueno (90) and Martín Zúñiga (90+3) sealed the victory.
Trinitarians Ricardo John (seven) and Shackiel Henry (38) took their team en route to an apparent victory in the first half.
Now, Mexico must wait for the results of the Paraguay-Uruguay game to know its position on the rankings and their next rival.
