María Guadalupe González wins gold in 20 km walk

María Guadalupe González won Mexico's 12th gold medal in the Pan American Games in Toronto.

The Mexican athlete dominated in the women's 20 km. walk and achieved a new race record: 1:29.24 hrs.

The silver medal went to Erika Tens from Brazil and the bronze medal to Paola Pérez from Ecuador.

González was taken to hospital for dehydration.
