President Enrique Peña Nieto and his French counterpart Francoise Hollande announced that the countries signed over 60 agreements during the state visit of Mexico's President to France.
At a joint press conference, President Peña Nieto announced the creation of "La Casa Mexicana," a cultural-gastronomic project initially financed by Mexican businessmen, and added that a Mexican art exhibition will be held in Paris next year.
Earlier, at the France-Mexico Economic Forum, organized by the Movement of French Enterprises (MEDEF), President Peña Nieto said that Mexico "is a country open to the world that has eleven free trade agreements that give it access to a market of more than 1.1 billion consumers."
He added that Mexico wants France to see it as a "reliable investment destination" to expand" its business horizons.
President Hollande said that trade between the two countries grew at an annual rate of 10% over the last three years.
