Controversial tycoon Donald Trump said that the recent escape from prison of the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, is the result of the "incredible corruption" in Mexico and that the United States is paying the price.
"Mexico's biggest drug lord escapes from jail. Unbelievable corruption and USA is paying the price. I told you so!" wrote Trump on Twitter.
The recent derogatory comments by Trump against immigrants in the U.S. caused a series of critiques against him on the international level, as well as the reaction of commercial partners like NBC, Univisión, Macy's, Televisa, and others, breaking all relations with him.
