50,000 teachers from Oaxaca will join protest in Mexico City

Around 50,000 members of the 22nd section of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) will travel to Mexico City to join a protest camp at the Revolution Monument in Mexico City.

 

The teachers from Oaxaca want the federal government to suspend the teachers' evaluation permanently and to abrogate the education reform.

 

A total of 1.3 million students have been affected by the teachers' strike that started last weekin Oaxaca.
