Hurricane Blanca is currently at some 350 miles south of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, after reaching category three according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN).
The agency indicated that the phenomenon will cause very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, hail and high winds in Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán; strong rains in Chihuahua and Durango, and of lesser intensity in Sonora, in addition to an increase in the waves in coastal areas.
At 7:00 a.m., the hurricane was 310 miles southwest of Playa Perula, Jalisco, 335 miles west-southwest of Manzanillo, Colima, and 419 km south of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.
Meanwhile, tropical wave number three will extend over the south of Oaxaca and will cause potentially heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, as well a hail and strong winds in Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas, and rains of lesser intensity in Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
A low pressure channel will be extended on the north and the center of the country, and is associated with the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
