A group of climbers today found in the higher parts of Pico de Orizaba the remains of a mummified body, which allegedly belongs to a pilot who crashed his aircraft in the area about 15 years ago.
The mayor of Chalchicomula, Puebla, Juan Navarro, reported that rescuers started the corresponding operations to remove the body.
Exactly three months ago, the body of a mummified climber was also found on the north side of the volcano, allegedly he had an accident over 50 years ago during an expedition.
Days later, authorities found a second mummified body, next to the climber.
