After the statements by Donald Trump about Mexico sending "drugs, criminals and rapists" to the United States, the Mexican Minister of the Interior, Miguel Angel Osorio Chong, considered them as "biased and absurd".
In response to the criticism of the magnate, who announced his intentions to compete for the presidential candidacy of the Republican Party, Osorio Chong opined that his intentions are more oriented to "generate a news story more than a project".
"Of course, he surely does not know the contributions of all migrants, from virtually all the nations of the world that have come to support, to support the development of the United States," he said.
"The Mexicans who are there, due to various circumstances, help, without a doubt, in the development of the United States and to strengthen it and present it as a great world power," expressed Osorio Chong.
Trump said during a speech at his Trump Tower skyscraper in Manhattan that Mexico is sending rapists and other criminals to live in the U.S.
"They're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing their problems," he said. "They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some I assume are good people but I speak to border guards and they tell us what we are getting.
Trump added that he would build "a great great wall on our southern border" and "make Mexico pay for that wall."
