Mexican Police reported the discovery of the dismembered bodies of a 45-year-old Russian woman and her daughter of 12, in the garage of their residence in Baja California, and the authorities are suspecting a relative is involved.
The bodies were in plastic bags in their house in Playas de Tijuana, close to the U.S. border.
The state attorney's office said that the bodies were found Wednesday, after local police responded to complaints about the stench that was gushing out of the garage.
In a statement on Thursday, it added that two people were being interrogated and that "the family environment could have been the cause".
The authorities have not identified the suspects or the victims by name.
