Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter, paid a working visit to Mexico City accompanied by a delegation of officials and businessmen, in order to explore new opportunities for trade and investment with Mexico.
The U.S. politician met Friday with Mexican Foreign Minister José Antonio Meade.
Both discussed different issues about bilateral relations, trade opportunities, particularly in the aerospace industry, as well as the possibility of use Mexico's ports to export Idaho's products to international markets.
According to a statement from the Mexican Foreign Ministry, initiatives in education between universities in Idaho and Mexico, under the Bilateral Forum on Higher Education, Research and Innovation (FOBESII) were analyzed.
They also highlighted the importance of the contributions of the Mexican population to the economy of the American state and cooperation in criminal justice between Mexico and the United States.
