The New York Botanical Garden announced the exhibition 'Frida Kahlo's Garden,' which focuses on the artist's engagement with nature in her native country of Mexico.
The exhibition will open from May 16 to November 1, 2015, and it will be the first solo presentation of Kahlo's work in New York City in more than 25 years.
The exhibition displays approximately 200 paintings, 55 are self-portraits. Many of these portraits incorporate plants and other organic materials.
